Description

A Prayer for Diana, Op 80, for Mixed Choir, String Orchestra and Organ, was composed between 26 November 2019 and 21 February 2020, when his wife Diana was recovering from illness.

A Prayer for Diana

I

Let her in stillness lie,
Freed from all human falsehood, sin and death;
Listen and hear God’s voice, which leads her on,
Which speaks in signs, all-faith, all-hope, all-love.

II

Let her be comforted,
Freed from all worldly secrets, guile, deceit;
Grant her to know God’s Word, and comprehend,
All-Truth, All-Goodness, All-Beauty, the music of Paradise.
